Often people who do not come to worship in a church regularly will be prepared to support maintaining it as part of the infrastructure of a village, so that it will still be there for future generations. A parish church provides continuity within a community as a place for family Baptisms, weddings and funerals as well as a place of regular Christian worship throughout the year. The church building is a quite reflective place open year-round to all amidst their busy lives.
Snettisham is well known for its prehistoric and Roman remains as well as for its medieval church. In May 2013 a display of heritage interpretation material was installed in the north west corner of the church. Space for more heritage material together with a community room, catering facilities and other upgrading of facilities are planned. The Friends will support all these activities.
All monies raised by The Friends will only be used on the buildings and historic churchyard and not on the day to day running of the church.
